Jon Paul Robbins specializes in civil litigation, which means he handles lawsuits of a non-criminal nature. Jon Paul Robbins has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, which he attained in 1970. He graduated from SUNY – Binghamton with cum laude honors. In 1973, Jon Paul Robbins received his Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell University in New York City, graduating with honors. While at Cornell University, Jon Paul Robbins was on the Board of Editors at the Cornell Law Review, a scholarly legal journal based on campus. He was also a member of Cornell’s chapter of the Order of the Coif—which is a national honorary society for legal students and alumni.

After graduation from Cornell University, Jon Paul Robbins joined a Manhattan-based law firm. He worked in the litigation department of Seward & Kissel until 1979. He helped to found Nitkin Alkalay Handler & Robbins in 1979. In 1992, this firm merged with McLaughlin & Stern, which is where he is now a partner.
